Our Staff
Sophy Green
Chief Executive
Since joining in 2004 she has been instrumental in moving Instant Neighbour from a struggling charity to a secure social enterprise in owned premises that supports the local community.
Rosie Green
Office Manager
After 20+ years working in Finance in the Oil and Gas sector, I took a career break and started volunteering at Instant Neighbour. I enjoyed it so much that at the fist opportunity I applied for a job here and as they say, the rest is history. Before becoming Office Manager, I was Senior Retail Assistant in one of our shops, and also had the pleasure of Co-ordinating our Giving Tree appeal in 2021.
Susan Mackay
Warehouse Manager
After 25 years of working in retail I took the opportunity 6 years ago to work in the third sector. That experience has helped me to bring skills to this role. This is a varied and fast paced position.
Susan Cheyne
Business Development Manager
Prior to joining Instant Neighbour, Susan was an established leader with a commercial focus for approximately 20 years. She takes ownership for her own development and thrives on inspiring others to achieve and exceed their own potential.
Fiona Craig
Accounts Manager
Fiona joined the Instant Neighbour team at the end of 2018 on returning back to work from an extended break after her younger child was born.
A big thank you to the team!
We would like to extend thanks to the wider team, drivers, van hands, retail team and to the numerous volunteers who help us to do what we do. We are a small team, but everyone’s efforts make us a great team. Working together to ‘Help make Aberdeen Poverty free.
Volunteers
Our volunteers play a huge part in everything that we do, quite simply we couldn’t do what we do without you! Whether you have some time on your hands, have recently been made redundant or have never worked, it does not matter, we want to hear from you! We would be delighted to have you on board!
