Chevron’s VIP spouses visited Instant Neighbour’s St Machar Drive offices today, Monday 27th April, with donations to help support the most vulnerable citizens of Aberdeen.
In addition to a cheque for £22,000 Chevron organised a food drive, encouraging staff, friends and families to donate non-perishable food, drinks and toiletries. The spouses presented Instant Neighbour with 21 boxes and 2 pallets of food donated through the food drive.
Instant Neighbour Chief Executive, Sophy Green, said “We are delighted to continue to receive support from Chevron. This generous gift will help us with the vital work we do to alleviate poverty here in the North East. The money will be used to support the 25th Giving Tree Appeal, providing a Christmas present for some 6000 children, and support our work to improve the quality of life in our communities.”
“Chevron supports its local communities by partnering with organisations that are focused on health, education and economic development. We have been working with Instant Neighbour for 25 years and we are pleased to be supporting an organisation that provides practical help, advice and support to people living in our local communities,” said Laura Easton, Chevron Upstream Europe’s Stakeholder Engagement and Social Investment advisor.
